The North Otago Mus Glee Club called an
extraordinary meeting and presented kennel management with a petition
signed by 1594 members claiming unfair victimisation here at Longrun Holm.
The object of their consternation is Rosie's replacement, Gowyth the Emotional
Rescue. A Dunedin SPCA special, Marne Kilmouski, joined us in early December
at approximately 8 months' of age. It is not sure why she was abandoned,
but it is thought by SPCA staff that she may have belonged to university
students who left her to fend for herself at the end of the academic year.
Their loss, my gain.
However, I'm wondering if she is better
named Marne Kilwhippet going by the yelps coming from the Whippets- in
particular Ebb. Marne lies in wait until a Whippet walks unsuspectingly
past and then it's a quick slap and run incident before lying in wait
for another victim.
