Mhachair was from one of the top Border Collie breeders in Australia. His sire was Best of Group at the 1990 Sydney Royal Show and is believed to be the first red Border Collie in the world to gain its champion title.
Despite being a show dog (Best in Show at a Collie (all varieties) Championship Show), Mhachair enjoyed working my flock of Wiltshire sheep. He had also created a considerable amount of interest amongst the farming community.
A son from his only litter recently gained his Working Trials Champion title- a title which is very difficult to obtain.
Mhachair passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 16 years. He is sorely missed.
