My first Groenendael was Roeulx. She was imported from Australia in early 1984. At her first show in New Zealand, Roeulx went Baby Puppy and Puppy in Show. Her show career followed with great success- winning 30 Group and 16 in Show awards including Best and Reserve of Group and class in Show wins. This is an enviable record for a rare breed!
Roeulx was a once in a lifetime dog. She was the first Belgian Shepherd (any variety) in New Zealand to gain:

Not surprisingly, she is the top winning Belgian Shepherd in New Zealand! This record is likely to exist for a very long time.
Her last show was in 1992 where she took out Best of Breed, Open and Reserve Best of Group- at the age of 9 years!
Roeulx was sent back to her breeder for showing and to have a litter. She gained her Australian Champion title very quickly with some Group wins along the way. The highlight of her Australian campaign was winning the bitch Challenge (25 points) at the Sydney Royal Show in 1987. She also won the CC and Reserve Best of Breed at the Canberra Royal the same year.
She was bred to the Royal Best of Group winner, Aust Ch
Doberralst Two of a Kind, to produce her only litter. Her son, Greoux,
was imported at just 8 weeks of age.
